Our Artisan Woven Denim Cosmetic Case is made from up-cycled denim and featuring 100% cotton lining, there is so much goodness in the making!Take it along on a date, or on your next trip to hold all tour essentials, or use as a clutch just for fun and start a conversation about being good to our earth, no more paper or plastic for you, just denim! On my last trip to Guatemala, I gathered a group of our employees and asked them to help me design products made from our dead stock (dead stock is raw materials left from other completed projects), and this cosmetic case is one of the accessories we came up with. Up-cycled denim, simply put, is made from pre-consumer waste. We collect all the new waste from factories that make jeans and this waste is ground back into fiber, spun into new yarns, and woven into new sustainable fabrics!
Top zipper closure. Woven on a backstrap loom and handcrafted by skilled artisans in Guatemala. 100% Cotton lining.

I never say "I can't."
My name is Maribel Granados, mother of three children. I am from San Pedro Sacatepéquez, Guatemala, a land of artisan tradition. I learned to embroider and weave from my grandmother and mother from the age of 7, both on a waist loom and a foot loom. Everything I am as an artisan I owe to them because they taught me to survive alone. One day my mother said "daughter, now it's your turn to stay in charge of the business." I learned to never say I can't, because there are always people, primarily my mother, who can help me with the challenges that come with the production of new products. This experience taught me so much and I never would have been able to have that if it wasn't for the example and opportunity that my mother set for me. What she gave me was priceless and I want to pass that same lesson onto my children. In appreciation for her help, I like to share my knowledge and train other artisans when they need support.Continue reading Maribel's story...
Artisanal products differ from fast fashion products in that they are made in a traditional or non-mechanized way. Artisanal products are hand-crafted by skilled cobblers in small quantities with high quality and design in mind; using techniques that cannot be replicated by machines!
