All Mikoleon shoes are design to match standard US dress shoe sizes. We don’t make half sizes and, to ensure the perfect fit, please note the following: All our shoes are standard M width (medium width). Do not order your sneaker size! When we started making shoes five years ago, we found that there's no shoe length standard, that each continent and brand develops their shoes based on their designs and geographical location, so there's really not a standard size in the world to go by; so yes, we are aware that our shoes are different from any other company, hence we recommend that you measure before you buy because we know that a size 5 for a child in a brand such as Nike will not be the same for our shoes as we have designed and develop our own patterns and shoe forms.
If you are not sure what size to get, measure your child's or your feet before buying. Do not use your sneaker size as a size guide! Our customers report our sizes run TTS (true to size).

It starts with the expertise of the tannery, where rawhides are transformed into the highest quality leather through the alchemy of the tanning process.
There are countless tanneries out there — really, we’ve reviewed everything from Italian to Indonesian — but if you’re looking for the best possible product, you can put your confidence in our name, and we’ve done the research! Our leather vendor maintains a particular emphasis on environmental consciousness, recycling two-thirds of their waste, guaranteeing leather is free from restricted substances (like formaldehyde), and using solar energy to power their facility, a stance which has earned them a Leather Working Group gold medal.

A note about our sizing...
Please measure before you buy! We no longer offer free exchanges for kids' shoes. Our sizes run differently than what your child may currently be using, so it is important to measure. We do not recommend sizing up; our booties already include extra space for socks and growth. Check out our how-to video for information on measuring your child’s feet.
There should be about a quarter-inch of space between your child's toes and the front of the moccasins. Our Baby Moccasins have rounded toe boxes, as they provide more growing room for toes! Our moccasins are made from natural materials with a soft and flexible sole.

Use Smith’s Leather Balm and a damp (with water) towel to clean.
A note about our leather…
A craftsman cuts the leather by hand, choosing the leather carefully and making sure that he follows the grain of the leather, his expert eye tells him the best way to cut each piece. He then sews each piece with accuracy and exactness only seasoned cobblers have mastered. Each upper body is placed then in the shoe form and with skilled and strength, the master cobbler dresses the form and prepares it to attach the leather sole. The soles are then layered, one on top of another, he then cuts and sands the leather to perfection. Once the glue is dry the leather Artisan then carefully builds-up the finish with an expert’s eye, and touch, to achieve an aged patina in just the right places to reflect the aged qualities only time, wear, and frequent care could have accomplished naturally.
